The Rosa 'Dutch Gold' is a magnificent, classic hybrid tea bush rose bred in the United Kingdom by the Wisbech Plant Co. Ltd. and introduced in 1978. Created by crossing the popular varieties 'Peer Gynt' and 'Whisky Mac', it quickly grew into a mainstay of British and European gardens thanks to its non-fading golden display and powerful perfume.
Key Characteristics
Blooms: Bears exceptionally large, well-formed, fully double flowers featuring a luminous, clear daffodil-yellow tone. As the weather warms, the petal margins often blush with subtle hints of peachy saffron or orange flashes.
Weatherproof Colour: Highly resistant to weather damage; unlike many yellow varieties, its petals do not bleach in intense summer sun and resist balling or spoiling during heavy summer rains.
Fragrance: Celebrated for its strong, sweet, and traditional rose scent that carries beautifully on a warm breeze.
Flowering Season: An excellent repeat-bloomer, throwing up continuous flushes from early June right through to October or the first autumn frosts
